Fun Facts About Me
: I am a huge Harry Potter fan and that motivated me to study abroad in London, UK during my junior year in college. I was able to adapt to a different culture and learned more about diverse perspectives. Also, I am a wanderlust who loves traveling and learning about other cultures. I have traveled to 12 different countries :)

When I’m not designing: I enjoy pilates, reading, running, cooking, learning different languages, and fetching with my cat.

Hi, I’m Ashlee!

UX/UI Designer who bridges the gap between humans and technology through meaningful user-centered experience.

My educational and professional background influenced the way I design today. I have a B.A degree in international studies, worked as an Art Director, and a Fashion Data Analyst.

  • My degree in international studies helped me to understand human behavior and emphasize diverse cultural perspectives through design.

  • My career as an art director taught me visual design skills with a focus on hierarchy and prioritization, typography, and interaction design

  • My career as a fashion data analyst trained me in analytic skills, which helped me prioritize designing for the business and user first.

While I was working as a graphic designer, I found myself interested in user interaction and user perspective. I wanted to learn more about why and how users choose a certain action and wanted to find a better and meaningful solution for the users. And that is when I decided to transit my career from graphic designer to product designer.

During my UX design journey, I have learned the fundamental UX process and design thinking. My biggest challenge before I start my UX design journey was “User Research”. However, it turned out that user research has become one of my favorite design processes because I am able to observe, gather, and make informed design decisions based on the testing and research I conduct.

I’d like to continually learn to become a critical thinker, emphasizer, and people person.
